Third season of “The Irregular at Magic High School” is expected to air in April with opening theme by LiSA

The third season of the TV anime "The Irregular at Magic High School" is expected to air in April. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the anime series, the main promotional video, key visual, and information about the opening theme song have been released.

The key visual for the third season features the eerie back view of Zhou Gongjin alongside Tatsuya Shiba, Miyuki Shiba, and characters from the upcoming arcs. The season will consist of three story arcs: "Double Seven Arc," "Steeplechase Arc," and "Ancient City Insurrection Arc." The new characters Takuji Shiba and Katsuto Jumonji are also shown in the image, voiced by Kikunosuke Toda, Ryumaru Tachibana, and Yoshihisa Otsuka.

The opening song "Shouted Serenade" is performed by LiSA, who also sang the opening song for the first season. LiSA reflects on her journey: "From the feelings of inferiority and frustration expressed in 'Rising Hope' ten years ago to the start of the third season, both the characters and I have matured. This marks the beginning of a new chapter where we hold onto the dreams we once vowed to achieve."

Based on the novels by Tsutomu Satou, "The Irregular at Magic High School" is set in a near future where magic is established as technology. It follows the siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba as they attend First National Magic University Affiliated High School alongside their friends. The anime series began in April 2014, followed by a film titled "The Girl Who Summons the Stars" in 2017, a second season titled "Visitor Arc" in 2020, and a New Year's special titled "Reminiscence Arc" at the end of 2021.
