On June 3, 2026, publisher Shufu to Seikatsusha announced that the light novel series "E, Shanai System Subete Wanope Shiteiru Watashi o Kaiko desu ka?" (Fired? But I Maintain All the Software!) is receiving a television anime adaptation. The series is written by Yuki Kashirome (text) and illustrated by Icchi (artwork), originally serialized as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō from November 2020 to July 2022. Since May 2021, it has been published under the PASH! Books imprint by Shufu to Seikatsusha, with four volumes released so far.
A manga adaptation by Io began in August 2022 on the Comic PASH! neo platform (also from Shufu to Seikatsusha) and has gained great popularity. The fifth manga volume is set to be released in Japan on June 5, 2026. J-Novel Club holds the English-language license for both the light novel and manga.
The story follows system engineer Ai Sato, who single-handedly maintains the entire corporate IT infrastructure. After a change in management, she is unexpectedly threatened with termination. Dejected, she meets her childhood friend Kenta Suzuki at a family restaurant, who has founded a startup called "Shin no Programmer Juku" (The True Programmer School). He invites Ai to work there as an instructor. With her passionate—and sometimes unconventional—teaching methods, she helps the course participants regain their confidence and explore new career paths.
The story is described as a heartwarming human drama aimed at anyone facing difficult life situations. Further details about the anime adaptation, such as the studio, cast, or broadcast date, are still pending.
