This week, it was announced that the four series Gash!!, Mister Zipangu, The Law of Ueki, and Yakitate!! Japan will not be continued.
The four titles had been on hold since the second quarter of 2007, along with Basara, Get Backers, and Rave. Basara, Get Backers, and Rave were continued with the summer 2008 program.
Thus, the four series end prematurely with the following volumes:
Gash!! - Volume 8 of 33+
Mister Zipangu - Volume 3 of 8
The Law of Ueki - Volume 3 of 16
Yakitate!! Japan - Volume 8 of 26
All four series were published in the "Manga Twister," which was discontinued in 2006. The reason for the discontinuation is low sales figures. A small hope for the subsequent volumes lies in looking across the pond. Recently, the 12th volume of Yakitate!! Japan and The Law of Ueki was released in the USA, and the 19th volume of Gash!! was also published under the title Zatch Bell. Only Mister Zipangu has not been released in the USA so far.
