"Eburidei Host"-Absurde Comedy via heartbreaker in the host club starts in April

The short anime series Eburidei Host (Japanese: Eburi dei Hosuto), based on the manga of the same name by Goto Nimo, will premiere on April 4, 2024. The series, a mix of slapstick and heartwarming moments, is set in the host club Club One, where the shy newcomer Hajime (voiced by Yashiro Taku) is taken under the wing of eccentric colleagues.

As a humorous homage to host club culture, the series follows Hajime’s chaotic training period among extravagant guests and charismatic mentors: the self-absorbed Koichi (Shimono Hiro), the calm Ryoichi (Hatanaka Tasuku), and the strategically minded Senichi (Okamoto Nobuhiko).

- Music: Golden Bomber frontman Kiryuuin Sho contributes the titular opening song, produced by EVIL LINE RECORDS (Hypnosis Mic).

A released trailer offers a first glimpse into the club’s absurd dynamics: Hajime stumbles through awkward situations while the established hosts demonstrate their unique methods of "customer retention." The voice actors also form the music project EbuHos Players, performing the ending theme.

The series, split into two cours, is aimed at fans of character-driven comedies with a quirky twist—and those who know that true entertainment sometimes lies in failure.
