The manga series "The Fable" by Katsuhisa Minami will soon be adapted into a TV anime. This was announced in the 32nd issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine. This development highlights the enduring popularity of Minami's work, which was first published in November 2014 and concluded in November 2019.
Ryousuke Takahashi will take the helm as director of the anime at Tezuka Productions, bringing his experience from previous works such as Armored Trooper Votoms, Phoenix, and Ozma. Sci-fi writer Yūya Takashima is on board to write and oversee the series' scripts alongside Mayumi Morita. The character designs are in the capable hands of Hisama Kinoshita, Saki Hasegawa, and Junichi Hayama.
The plot of the original manga series follows a successful hitman known as "The Fable," who struggles with a difficult task—living as an ordinary person without resorting to violence.
