The romance fantasy story Hello, I am a Witch, and My Crush Wants me to Make a Love Potion! is receiving an anime television series adaptation. The adaptation of the light novel series is scheduled for 2026.

The series tells the story of Rose, a witch living in solitude, also known as the "Witch of the Lake." Her quiet life changes when the royal knight Harij Azm, whom she has secretly been in love with for a long time, appears and asks for a love potion. To see him more often, Rose pretends she no longer has the ingredients in stock and instead sends Harij to search for rare components. This ruse leads the initially somewhat stern knight to regularly return to her, and feelings gradually develop between the two.

The story originally comes from the pen of author Eiko Mutsuhana. She first published the story as a web novel on the platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2019. Later that same year, publisher Futabasha began releasing it as an illustrated light novel, drawn by Vient. This version was published in two volumes between October 2019 and March 2020.

In August 2020, a manga adaptation finally began, produced by Kamada and serialized in the online service KadoComi. This continuation of the story is still being regularly released. The English-language license for the manga is held by Yen Press, which publishes the series under the title Hi, I'm a Witch, and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion. The fifth English-language volume of this version was released on January 20, 2026.

A new volume of the ongoing manga series is announced for February 5, 2026. This is the sixth compiled volume of the series overall. On the occasion of the anime announcement, manga artist Kamada released a specially created illustration.
