"Fate/Grand Order" Exhibition: CloverWorks Releases Opening Theater Film Online

The opening theater film of the exhibition "Fate/Grand Order Exhibition – Corridor of Stargazing" (Japanese: "Fate/Grand Order展 -星見の回廊-") is now available on the official Fate/Grand Order YouTube channel. The animated video, produced by CloverWorks, had previously been shown exclusively in the first area of the exhibition; the studio confirmed the online release on August 14, 2026, via its official account and also invited viewers to continue experiencing the film on the big screen in the exhibition hall.

The short film sets the mood for the show and recalls the journey of the main characters of Fate/Grand Order. The opening scene shows Mash Kyrielight – voiced by Rie Takahashi – alone in a starfield, holding a small glowing star in her hand, while the orbital rings of the exhibition's key visual arch behind her. Direction, storyboard, and episode direction were handled by Haruka Fujita, with animation direction by Masayoshi Tanaka. Other contributors include color designer Kyoko Hara, art director Ryoko Itaya, cinematographer Yuya Sakuma, and animation producer Yuichi Fukushima. CloverWorks also shared that the key animation was entirely done by animators who joined the studio immediately after graduating from school; selected artwork is to be released later.

The music specially composed for the exhibition is titled "Unmei ~Hoshimi no Kairō~" (roughly "Fate – Corridor of Stargazing"). The piece was composed by Keita Haga, who arranged it together with Ryota Kikuchi; Kikuchi also contributed the piano part. CloverWorks is already connected to the game through previous work: the studio had previously animated a trailer for the game update that introduced the new five-star servant "End of the World Archer."

The exhibition "Fate/Grand Order Exhibition – Corridor of Stargazing" runs until September 14, 2026, at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo's Roppongi district. It guides visitors through the game's story from the beginning to the finale of the second story arc; it features production and scenario materials shown publicly for the first time, newly drawn illustrations, and new figures. Day tickets cost 6,800 yen with a merchandise package, or 3,800 yen for regular admission. Details about the exhibition were presented by Aniplex on July 1, 2026, during the broadcast "Fate/Grand Order Caldea Broadcast Station Light Version."

The mobile role-playing game by developer Lasengle, launched in Japan in 2015, is, with the ongoing exhibition, also on the home stretch of its second story arc; only in June 2026 was a new chapter after Part 2 released, titled "one second after time." Accompanying the exhibition period, a best-of album called "Yoin" was also released, featuring the theme songs that Maaya Sakamoto has sung for Fate/Grand Order; an interview with the singer and Kinoko Nasu, scenario writer and general director of the game, accompanies the release.
