The anime adaptation of "Fate/strange Fake" begins its broadcast on January 3, 2026. For the announcement, a first trailer as well as a key visual created specifically by A-1 Pictures were released.

The opening sequence is created by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] with the title "PROVANT", featuring Jean-Ken Johnny from MAN WITH A MISSION and TAKUMA from 10-FEET. A sample of the song can be heard in the trailer.

This information was revealed during the online event "Aniplex Online Fest 2025" on September 13.

The story takes place in the United States and shows a version of the Holy Grail War referred to as "fake", in which numerous magi (Masters) and heroic spirits (Servants) encounter each other.

The direction of the series is handled by Shun Enokudo and Takahiro Sakazume, who are already known for their work on animated commercials for "Fate/Grand Order".

The production expands the Fate universe with an alternative narrative and connects familiar elements of the series with a new setting and characters.
