Final stage of Golden Kamuy: New motif and fan campaign for the start

With the beginning of the final chapter of the anime adaptation of Golden Kamuy (engl. Golden Kamuy) a new official key visual has been released. Parallel to this, an interactive campaign for the fanbase has started.

The recently revealed image shows the central figures of the plot united in a dynamic composition. Against a background dominated by rising flames, the characters look with determined expressions. The visual is accompanied by the concise slogan "The final chapter begins splendidly," directing expectations towards the long-awaited climax of the story.

The series, based on the manga by Satoru Noda, follows the former soldier Saichi Sugimoto and the Ainu girl Asirpa on their dangerous search for a hidden gold treasure in early 20th century Hokkaido. Their journey through historical landscapes and encounters with various factions has given the story both action and profound cultural and historical insights.

To celebrate the start of the final season, a special campaign for the community has been launched. Under the title "Golden New Year! Shout your resolutions for this year to us!" fans are invited to share their personal wishes or goals for the new year.

Participation takes place via an official campaign page, where entries can be published with a designated hashtag. As a thank you for participating, each participant will be sent one of three specially created New Year's illustrations at random. It is possible to participate multiple times within the campaign period.

Golden Kamuy has gained significant acclaim since its debut. The original manga was awarded, among others, the Manga Taishō Award in 2016 and has sold millions of copies. The unique blend of historical adventure, survival struggle, and the respectful inclusion of Ainu culture has found a broad audience.

The final chapter of the anime adaptation continues the production structure of the previous season and aims to bring the diverse narrative surrounding the hunt for the gold to a worthy conclusion. The anticipation of the fans is also reflected in polls, where the series is counted among the most anticipated anime releases of the season.
