The April 27 issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), issue 22/23, features Ren Meguro on its cover for the first time. It is a collaboration with Yuto Suzuki's manga "SAKAMOTO DAYS," for which Meguro plays the lead role in the live-action film. The cover shows Meguro in his role as Sakamoto side by side with a version of the character drawn specifically by Suzuki.

This is the first time Meguro has appeared on the cover of "Weekly Shonen Jump." The live-action film "SAKAMOTO DAYS" opens in Japanese theaters on April 29, 2026. This collaboration between a live-action adaptation and the original manga on the cover is the first since the film "Gintama 2" in 2018—after about eight years.

Inside the magazine, interviews with Ren Meguro, his co-star Fumiya Takahashi (role: Shin Asakura), Mayu Yokota (role: Lu Shaotang), and director Yuichi Fukuda will be printed. Additionally, the issue includes a double pin-up featuring the two main actors, a manga-style sticker, and a report by Shuhei Miyazaki ("Me & Roboco") about the film's premiere. The results of the fan vote for the "Best Bout" from the manga series will also be announced.
