A first official key visual for the second season of the anime series "GATE" (Japanese original title: GATE（ゲート）自衛隊 彼の海にて、斯く戦えり, GATE: Jieitai Kano Umi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri; English: GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There) is now available.
The sequel titled "GATE SEASON2: Thus the JSDF Fought in That Sea" continues the story several years after the events of the first series, in which a mysterious portal appeared in the Ginza district of Tokyo and opened a connection to a foreign world.
The published teaser image shows the two characters Tokushima Hajime, a member of the Maritime Self-Defense Force, and Princess Primera Luna Avion from the other world. In the background, the silhouette of a submarine can also be seen.
