During a recent live stream celebrating the 10th anniversary of MF Books, fans of the series "The Rising of the Shield Hero" were treated to a slew of new announcements. Key details about the highly anticipated third season of the TV anime were revealed, including a brief glimpse at a promotional video and the introduction of new cast members.



Ami Koshimizu, Kōhei Amasaki, Konomi Kohara, and Maria Naganawa, who portray the characters Nadia, Fohl, Atla, and S'yne respectively, are joining the cast for the third installment. The opening and ending themes of the season will be performed by MADKID and Chiai Fujikawa, both of whom have previously contributed to the series' music.

The anime is set to premiere in October. Hitoshi Haga is the new director for the third season, replacing Takao Abo and Masato Jinbo from the first and second seasons, respectively. Keigo Koyanagi continues as scriptwriter and supervisor, Kevin Penkin returns for the music, and Kinema Citrus is handling the animation production. Franziska van Wulfen and Sana Komatsu are joining Masahiro Suwa in character design, with Kōta Sera, the chief animation director from previous seasons, contributing to the designs.
