The producers of the TV anime series "The Detective Is Already Dead" (Original title: Tantei wa Mō, Shindeiru.) have released the first promotional video and the first key visual for the second season. At the same time, several projects for the fifth anniversary of the anime adaptation were announced.

The new PV introduces a mysterious new character named Noches. She wears a maid costume and bears a striking resemblance to the supposedly dead detective Siesta. In the video, she asks the main character Nagisa Natsunagi: "Will you truly carry on the legacy of the great detective?" Noches is voiced by Saki Miyashita, who also voices Siesta. The accompanying key visual and first character designs for Noches have also been revealed.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the anime's broadcast in July, several special projects were announced. These include the production of seasonal visuals and an audio drama, the opening of an official TikTok channel, a cover project of the theme songs, the production of a "Siesta ASMR," and the release of a video game for the Nintendo Switch. The first seasonal visual shows Siesta in a spring setting.

As part of the cover project, Saki Miyashita as Siesta will reinterpret the first opening song "Koko de Ikiteru," while Ayana Taketatsu as Nagisa Natsunagi will cover the first ending song "Kodō." The "Siesta ASMR" is currently in production and aims to provide viewers with a pleasant, daydream-like time with the character. The game developed for the Nintendo Switch will be distributed by Taito Game.
