A full-length teaser has been released on the Urusei Yatsura official website. The year-long series (four seasons) will adapt select stories from the original manga. It will premiere in October of this year in the program block noitaminA. The anime's release coincides with the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan Publishing.

Joining the cast of Urusei Yatsura is Wataru Takagi as Cherry. Miyuki Sawashiro was also introduced as the voice of Sakura.
