Continuation of Ranma ½: Second season starts in October

In October, the popular animated series Ranma ½, based on the work of Rumiko Takahashi, returns with a second season. A first trailer now offers insights into the upcoming episodes and simultaneously introduces new characters and their voice actors.

The newcomers include Mousse, voiced by Toshihiko Seki, Ukyō Kuonji (Nazuka Kaori), Happōsai (Kazuhiko Inoue), Cologne (Mako Mayama) as well as Tsubasa Kurenai, whose voice is provided by Akira Ishida. The trailer showcases the new characters in action-packed scenes alongside the familiar main characters Ranma and Akane.

In terms of content, the trailer particularly focuses on a first strategic clash between Mousse and Akane and presents key moments of the upcoming plot. Viewers already get a taste of the new voices and dialogues.

Behind the scenes, the proven creative team remains intact: The series is once again directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa at Studio MAPPA, with Yoshihiko Umakoshi continuing to handle character design. The sequel adapts further chapters of the manga and promises fresh conflicts as well as humorous entanglements surrounding Ranma and his friends.
