The production of the live-action film 'Wandance' has revealed four additional cast members who will appear in dance scenes and as antagonists to the main characters. The adaptation of Kohii's manga of the same name, which has been serialized in 'Monthly Afternoon' (Kodansha) since 2019 and was already broadcast as a TV anime in 2025, will hit Japanese theaters on November 27, 2026.

The newly announced roles are:
- Kira Yamaguchi (Girls²) plays On Miyao, the charismatic leader of the dance team 'TEAM ON'.
- RAN (MAZZEL) takes on the role of Iori Itsukushima, an experienced dancer who recognizes the protagonist's talent and encourages him to a dance battle.
- Professional breakdancer TSUKKI, known for winning international competitions such as the 'Freestyle Session World Final', makes his film debut as Gaku Kabeya (nicknamed 'Kabe'), who appears as the strongest rival of the main characters.
- Aloha Takamatsu (Super Express) plays Usen Takumi, the leader of an opposing team who serves as a hurdle for the heroes at dance competitions.

It was previously confirmed that JO (&TEAM) takes the lead role of the stuttering student Kaboku Kotani, and Anji Ikehata plays the female lead Hikari Wanda. The film is directed by Naoya Kusaba ('Yukiko a.k.a.'), with a screenplay by Keiichi Kobayashi. Renowned dancer Charisma Kantaro is responsible for the choreography.

Alongside the announcement, character visuals and short dance videos were released, showcasing the different styles of the characters—from energetic power moves to flowing house elements. The cast expressed their excitement in statements about the collaboration and the challenge of combining dance and acting.

'Wandance' tells the story of Kaboku, who, despite his speech impediment, is drawn to the freedom of dancing and finds his own path through his encounter with the passionate dancer Wanda.
