"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," the celebrated manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, is taking on a new form—a TV anime. In a recent update, the additional cast members joining the series were announced, and a character visual was also revealed.

Among the key new additions are Nobuhiko Okamoto, Hiroki Touchi, and Yōji Ueda, who will bring the characters Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen to life, respectively. The protagonist Frieren will be voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki.

The story of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" will be brought to life under the direction of Keiichirō Saitō, with the series' scripts penned by Tomohiro Suzuki. Character design is handled by Reiko Nagasawa, while the music accompanying the series comes from Evan Call.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" offers a complex narrative centered around the life of the elven mage Frieren. Her story does not end with the conclusion of her grand adventures. Instead, it transitions into a journey of personal discovery and growth as she strives to understand the concept of life from the perspective of the humans around her. Her existence, which is far longer than that of her companions, serves as the backdrop for the unfolding tale.

The manga, first released in April 2020, has since been published in ten volumes, with the latest volume released on March 16.
