Funimation has announced that it will stream the TV anime adaptation of Light Tuchihi's Kyūkyoku Shinka Shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu Yorimo Kuso-Gee Dattara novel series under the title Full Dive.
The anime's official website also released a second promotional video for the anime, revealing the artists of the series' opening and ending songs as well as the April 7 premiere.
The story is set in the late 21st century and follows a boring high school student named Hiro Yūki (a double pun on "hero" and "heroism" in Japanese) as he is tricked into participating in a full-dive role-playing game (fully immersive VR). The game, Kiwame Quest (literally: "Ultimate Quest"), is touted as "more real than reality," with stunning graphics, impressive NPC behavior, and even the smell of foliage and the feeling of wind against your skin.
