Fumetsu no Anata e – To Your Eternity: Third season starts in October

For the third season of the anime series Fumetsu no Anata e (English: To Your Eternity) by author Yoshitoki Ōima, the first scene images and plot details are available. The new season, which begins on October 4, moves the plot to the modern present.

The first episode with the title "Odayaka naru Yo" (approximately: The silent world) shows how the immortal protagonist Fushi awakens in the present day after a long period of rest. After having taken root worldwide and eliminated the threat of the Nokker, he meets the middle school student Yūki and finds a temporary accommodation. The encounter with the teenager Mizuha, who has conflicts with her mother, initiates a new development phase.

The cast includes new voice actors for Mizuha's classmates: Rishino Aono as Fūna, Yui Kondō as Nagisa, Hikaru Tōno as Saki and Sachi Kunitachi as Kasabe. The four performers expressed themselves in statements about their roles.

The music group Perfume, which performs the title song Fumetsu no Anata, was portrayed in an interview video. The members described their motivation for participating in the project and their impressions of the opening sequence, which even triggered emotional reactions in one member.

The series with Reiji Kawashima as Fushi and Tomori Kusunoki as Mizuha continues the journey of the immortal being in a modern era described as peaceful.
