"Futo Tantei: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull" - key visual and trailer released

The key visual and main trailer for the upcoming film "Futo Tantei: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull," written by Riku Sanjo and based on Masaki Sato's "Futo Tantei," have been released. The images show Shoutarou Hidari alongside Soukichi Narumi and Philip, while the trailer features both Kamen Rider Skull and Kamen Rider W.

Additionally, new cast members have been announced. Ayumu Murase will play the young Shoutarou, while Satomi Sato portrays Saeko Sonozaki, who confronts Shoutarou as the Taboo Dopant.

The film's theme song, "Niau Otoko ni Nare," was written, composed, and performed by Koji Kikkawa under the name Soukichi Narumi. The song is intended as a message to Shoutarou and Philip, encouraging the young characters to believe in themselves and keep moving forward. Kikkawa, who previously played Soukichi in the live-action "Kamen Rider W" films and composed the theme song for the anime "Zai to Batsu to Angura," explained that the song is meant to inspire the young heroes of the story.

"Kamen Rider W" follows detective Shoutarou and the mysterious boy Philip, who merge into one to become Kamen Rider W. "Futo Tantei," a sequel to the original "Kamen Rider W" series, continues this story in manga form and was adapted into an anime in 2022. The new film "Futo Tantei: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull" depicts the events that set Shoutarou and Philip on their path to becoming Kamen Rider W.
