The episode begins with Atou and Moltar's deployment in Dragontan, where they repel the attacking barbarians. Atou defeats the enemies with ease, but notices a strange phenomenon: every defeated enemy disappears and leaves behind unknown gold coins with an unusual emblem. Even the experienced Moltar has never seen anything like it and is confused. Atou reports this incident to Takuto, who then uses shared perception to examine the coins.

Takuto immediately recognizes the emblem on the coins: it comes from the RPG "Brave Questus", a well-known game where players act as heroes against a demon lord. He concludes that the enemies originate from this RPG and their sudden appearances are due to the "random encounters" of the game. This cross-genre conflict between a 4X strategy game (Eternal Nations) and a JRPG (Brave Questus) presents a completely new challenge.

Parallel to this, a scene shows the Holy Soalina of Qualia in battle against the "Slurping Witch" Erakino. Soalina mentions that she has already executed Erakino seventeen times, yet she每次都 resurrects. Erakino herself does not seem to fully understand her own immortality and accuses Soalina of being "too strong". This subplot hints at another, greater threat that may be connected to the RPG elements.

Back in Dragontan, a confrontation occurs between Atou and Ice Rock, one of the Four Generals of the Demon Lord from "Brave Questus". Ice Rock leads a large army of orcs and goblins and is horrified by the effect of Moltar's military magic "Land of Ruin", which strengthens evil units and weakens non-evil ones. Atou, who now calls herself "Sludge Atou", confronts him and reveals her knowledge of his origin from an RPG. She mocks him by saying that his existence is reduced to being defeated over and over by the hero, which enrages Ice Rock.

The battle culminates in Ice Rock's special attack "Glacial Decapitation", which under RPG mechanics is guaranteed to hit. Atou can hardly believe this and yet deflects the attack, kills Ice Rock, and acquires his ability in the process. She realizes that the enemies operate under fundamentally different game rules, which makes the battle considerably more difficult. Despite this victory, the episode ends with a cliffhanger, as Atou realizes that there is simultaneously a threat in Mynoghra itself, indicating a new immediate danger.
