The episode begins as Jabber, under the influence of his own neurotoxin and without hostile intent, continues to attack and renders Rudo's defensive vital instrument ineffective. In this critical moment, Zanka, who has recovered from Jabber's poison, appears and proposes an unusual tactic: he wants to attack Rudo to trigger the talisman's enemy-recognition ability and thus be thrown precisely into position against Jabber.

The risky strategy succeeds and allows Zanka to hit Jabber with his staff and temporarily defeat him. Shortly thereafter, Gris' talisman decomposes and loses its power. Rudo also suffers a small scratch injury from Jabber's poisonous claw, which gradually paralyzes him.

However, Jabber quickly awakens again and reveals that his left claws contain a pain-numbing agent that allows him to continue fighting despite his injuries. As he is about to finally overpower Rudo, reinforcements from the Cleaners under the leadership of Enjin and Riyo arrive.

A confrontation between the Cleaners and Jabber begins but is interrupted when another raider named Cthoni appears through an opening in the wall. She orders Jabber to retreat and hints that their leader is impatient. Jabber obeys reluctantly, not without leaving Rudo a cryptic message about a "set" and the pattern on Rudo's hand, which seems to interest him greatly.

The raiders retreat through the opening before the Cleaners can intervene. The episode ends with Rudo, paralyzed but determined, renewing his promise to Gris to one day hold Jabber accountable for what he has done.
