The episode begins with Rudo, who is plagued by guilt because he believes Gris died because of him. Enjin finds him and brings him back to the headquarters, where it turns out that Gris survived thanks to the healing abilities of a shy member of the Cleaners named Eishia Stilza.

Gris and the other Cleaners encourage Rudo and explain that his ability to recognize and use the value of objects is something positive. The leader of the Cleaners, Corvus, arrives and officially accepts Rudo into the group.

Corvus shares new information with Rudo: There is a boundary between the sphere and the ground that is considered deadly. However, a woman in a nearby no-man's-land is said to have observed people crossing this boundary alive. Corvus suggests finding this woman to learn more about ascending to the sphere.

Enjin explains to Rudo that a journey into the no-man's-land is dangerous and that Rudo first needs to better understand and control his abilities. The team begins Rudo's training and discovers that his power depends on his connection to discarded or broken objects ("trash"). They find that he can transform multiple objects into weapons simultaneously but reaches his physical limits when he overloads his powers.

Meanwhile, Rudo gets used to life with the Cleaners, tries sweets for the first time, and interacts with the other members. The episode ends with a hint of a larger threat, as a figure named Zodyl mentions the "Guardian Series," alluding to a connection to Rudo's gloves and a possibly larger conspiracy.
