"Ganbatte Ikimasshoi" Tournament Arc preview released

Before the film's premiere on October 25, an exclusive web preview for the anime "Ganbatte Ikimasshoi" was released, focusing on the "Tournament Arc." The preview highlights the determination of the characters Etsuko, Lee, Hime, Dakko, and Imocchi, who are giving their all to win the championship. The story follows the apathetic protagonist Etsuko, who is reluctantly recruited into the rowing club by the exchange student Lee. The trailer showcases moments of struggle, such as Etsuko's desperate sigh: "This is tough..." as she tries to keep up during training. The film also depicts the fierce rivalry between Etsuko's team and the ace of a rival school, Umeko, as well as the team's growing unity and synchronized efforts to improve their rowing skills.

"Ganbatte Ikimasshoi" is based on the novel by Ryoko Shikimura, which won the Botchan Literary Award in 1995. The story is set in Matsuyama in Ehime Prefecture and revolves around the coming-of-age of high school girls involved in their rowing club. The novel was adapted into a live-action film in 1998 starring Rena Tanaka in the lead role and into a TV drama in 2005 featuring Anne Suzuki and Ryo Nishikido in the main roles.
