The main voice actors for the anime adaptation of the game series Gensō Suikoden (English: Suikoden) were announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2025. The production will focus on the story from the second part of the game series.
The cast includes Toshiki Kumagai in the role of the protagonist, who has been given the original name Riryū for the anime adaptation. Shinya Tsuchiya voices the childhood friend Jowy, while Ayumi Hihara portrays the stepsister Nanami. Additionally, Katsuyuki Konishi as Victor and Yūichi Nakamura as Flik have been confirmed, who have previously voiced these characters in other franchise projects.
A new official image shows Riryū and Jowy under a moonlit sky, facing each other with determined looks, as well as a symbol carved in stone representing their reunion promise. The character designs for the five main figures have also been released.
The series composition is by Michihiro Tsuchiya, and the musical score is produced by Kōji Nakamura.
