Tournament format: Knockout system
Match format: Best of Three
Allowed cards: SDK, SDY, LOB (Starter Deck Yugi or Kaiba, Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon)
ONLY German cards are permitted.
Foreign-language cards are NOT permitted. Counterfeit or copied cards are also NOT permitted!
Every participant must bring their own deck to be eligible to participate.
The following rules apply to the deck:
- The deck must contain at least 40 cards; there is no upper limit.
- A Side Deck of exactly 15 cards may be used, but this is optional. This Side Deck may only be used between Duel 1 and Duel 2 or between Duel 2 and Duel 3 (and ONLY then) by exchanging the same number of cards between the deck and the Side Deck.
- No card may appear more than 3 times combined in the deck and Side Deck.
- The following 9 cards may only appear once each combined in the deck and Side Deck: Raigeki, Dark Hole, Monster Reborn, Change of Heart, Right Leg of the Forbidden One, Left Leg of the Forbidden One, Right Arm of the Forbidden One, Left Arm of the Forbidden One, and Exodia the Forbidden One.
- The following 2 cards may only appear twice each combined in the deck and Side Deck: Card Destruction and Trap Master.
Prizes: The tournament winner will qualify for the World Championship, which will take place in August in New York.
Flight and hotel accommodations will be provided for the winner and one legal guardian as an accompanying person.
Additionally, there will be material prizes for the top placements.
