After the German cinema release of Howl's Moving Castle in September, Universum Film plans to release the Ghibli titles in chronological order. The DVD releases of the individual films will follow at intervals of two months. The first DVD releases will therefore be Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä) and Kiki's Delivery Service (Majo no Takkyuubin).
The only exception is the German DVD release of Laputa Castle in the Sky (Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa), for which fans will have to be patient: the publisher intends to bring the Ghibli classic to German cinemas in 2006.
