"Gintama Multiverse Anime: 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei," premiering October 2025.

The spin-off anime "Gintama Multiverse Anime: 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei," based on Hideaki Sorachi's 'Gintama' and the spin-off novel by Oosaki Tomohito, will air on TV Tokyo starting October 2025. The story transports the beloved characters from "Gintama" from Edo to a high school, where they experience a unique and chaotic school life. The anime's slogan, "Whether you're outgoing or introverted, here's youth in the Gintama style!" captures the spirit of the series as the irresponsible homeroom teacher Ginpachi Sakata—who wears a messy lab coat and lifeless eyes—struggles with a class full of rowdy students.

The newly released teaser image features both Ginpachi Sakata and Gintoki Sakata from "Gintama," hinting at a crossover between the two worlds. Although a preview video was also shared, it primarily consisted of character dialogue and unfinished animations, as the official trailer will debut at the BLUE Stage event of Jump Festa 2025 on December 21 at 15:40.
