“Girlfriend, Girlfriend” anime reveals new details about the upcoming second season

Fans of the anime series "Girlfriend, Girlfriend" have reason to celebrate, as new details about the second season of the series were recently revealed. During the Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair, an important promotional video was shown. The clip offers a small glimpse into the upcoming season, featuring voice actress Aoi Koga in the role of Risa Hoshizaki, Rika's younger sister. The opening song titled "Dramatic ni Koi Shitai" (I Want to Fall in Love Dramatically), sung by Hikari Codama, is also introduced in the video.



The release date for the upcoming season is set for early October. Fans worldwide will be able to watch the episodes on Crunchyroll as soon as they are released in Japan.

The main cast of the anime includes Junya Enoki as Naoya Mukai, Ayane Sakura as Saki Saki, Azumi Waki as Nagisa Minase, Ayana Taketatsu as Rika Hoshizaki, and Rie Takahashi as Shino Kiryū. ClariS will perform the title song for the second season, titled "Forira."

The anime series, based on the manga by Hiroyuki, follows the life of Naoya, a young man in a complicated relationship with his girlfriend Saki. When he unexpectedly receives a confession from another girl named Nagisa, he decides to take an unusual path—he asks Saki for permission to date both of them.
