The original TV anime adaptation of Given aired in July 2019 as part of Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. The series gained recognition as the first anime based on a Boys Love manga to air on Noitamina. The anime's story follows Ritsuka Uenoyama, who has lost his passion for music and basketball. However, when he meets Mafuyu Sato and hears him sing, Ritsuka's passion for music is reignited, and his life begins to change.
In May 2020, an anime film based on the manga was released in Japan and is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll. A standalone original video anime (OVA) titled Given: Uragawa no Sonzai, focusing on Mafuyu and Ritsuka during the events of the Given film, was released in December 2021 alongside the seventh volume of the manga.
