The episode begins with the aftermath of the battle in the Dungeon of the Dead. The adventurers have rescued the princess and are tending to her. Despite their victory, they realize there are still lingering goblin stragglers aboveground that they need to deal with.

As they attempt to leave the dungeon, they encounter the hand of a greater demon. In a tense and perilous situation, the group manages to find shelter in a snow cave. Inside the cave, they take a moment to rest and drink stamina potions to regain their strength. Goblin Slayer devises a plan to eliminate the demon's hand by using Medea's oil (petroleum) to set a trap. The plan succeeds, though not without difficulties, as the oil proves hard to ignite in the cold environment.

Meanwhile, in the capital, a conspiracy is uncovered involving the princess's abduction and the resurrection of a dark god. A nobleman and a heretic discuss their plan to use the princess as a sacrificial offering. However, their scheme is thwarted by the Knight of Diamonds, who reveals his identity and confronts the two.

Back in the dungeon, the adventurers continue their fight against the goblins and the great demon. The Priestess plays a crucial role, protecting and supporting the group with her miracles. The battle is fierce, but the group manages to defeat their enemies. After the fight, the adventurers return to the surface, where they are greeted by the Sword Maiden and a group of warrior priests.

The episode ends with the adventurers' return to town. They discuss the events and reflect on their experiences. Goblin Slayer, in particular, contemplates his role as an adventurer and his duty to slay goblins. The season concludes with a reaffirmation of his resolve to continue on his path, no matter what has happened.
