Studio LIDENFILMS will animate the sequel, featuring the cast members Yuichiro Umehara, Yui Ogura, Nao Toyama, and Mr. Gobusure. The anime is based on the light novel series of the same name by Kumo Kagyu, which has been published under the GA Bunko label by SB Creative with illustrations by Noboru Kannatsuki since February 2016. The latest, 16th volume of the series was released in July 2022.
WHITE FOX previously adapted the series into an anime, which aired from October to December 2018 with 12 episodes, and an original film titled Goblin Slayer -GOBLIN'S CROWN- was released in 2020.
The plot of the first volume follows a young priestess who, along with her first group of adventurers, is saved by the Goblin Slayer, a man dedicated to exterminating all goblins by any means necessary.
