Golf anime series “Sky-Blue Utility” announced with returning cast

The golf short anime "Sky-Blue Utility," the first original production by Yostar Pictures, is set to be expanded into a TV series. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a teaser image featuring the silhouettes of three young girls against the backdrop of a vast blue sky with the trajectory of a golf ball.

"Sky-Blue Utility" depicts the experiences of high school girls who enjoy playing golf. The animation production will continue to be handled by Yostar Pictures, with Kengo Saito returning from the short anime as both director and character designer.

The voice actors from the short anime, including Miyu Takagi, Yurina Amami, and Ayasa Goto, will reprise their roles in the TV series. Takagi voices the protagonist Mina Aoba, a golf beginner; Amami plays the talented golfer Haruka Akane; and Goto portrays Ayaka Hoshimi, an up-and-coming influencer.
