"GREAT PRETENDER razbliuto" releases trailer and announces cast

The continuation of the anime series "GREAT PRETENDER," which aired in 2020 under the title "GREAT PRETENDER razbliuto," has released its first promo clip and announced the main cast. The sequel will air on DMM TV on February 23, 2024.

One of the main characters of the original series is the self-proclaimed genius con artist Dorothy, voiced by Yuka Komatsu. After losing a game against the Shanghai Longhu Bang, Dorothy disappears and now lives as the adopted daughter of an elderly couple in a Taiwanese coastal town, having lost her memories of the past.

Additional cast members include Shunsuke Takeuchi as Jiang Pinjue (Jay), the young leader of Wang's organization in Taipei's underworld, Yasuhiro Mamiya as Yang Kunyi (Ai), who boasts of being Taipei's most brilliant swindler, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Lin, a member of Wang's organization and Jay's junior, Yasunori Masutani as Wang Yiqi, the ruthless man who controls Taipei's underworld, Hikari Kananuka as Cai, a high-ranking member of Wang's organization, and Mariya Ise as Bin Yen, Wang's apathetic and poker-faced secretary.

"GREAT PRETENDER" originally told the story of Makoto Edamura, the self-proclaimed "greatest swindler in Japan," who gets involved in high-stakes cons around the world after being tricked by the master con artist Laurent Thierry.
