Grendizer U: New anime series launch and further revelations

The TV anime series "Grendizer U," based on the original work by Go Nagai, will premiere on July 5. Alongside this announcement, the third key visual, the third promotional video, and new mechanical designs were revealed.

The third key visual for "Grendizer U" features a group of characters, including Grendizer, Mazinger Z, Duke Freed, and Koji Kabuto. The third promotional video showcases the ending theme "Protect You" by BAND-MAID.

The newly revealed mechanical designs introduce several mechas:

- Double Spazer: Represents the power of the sky.

- Drill Spazer: Represents the power of the land.

- Marine Spazer: Represents the power of the sea.

- King Bani Bani: A terrifying Vega beast.

- Telonburn: The flagship of Telonna, the supreme commander of the Vega Alliance.

A manga adaptation of "Grendizer U" has also been announced. It will be serialized on the web manga site Comiplex. Further updates will be available on the anime's official websites and Comiplex.

"Grendizer U" is a reboot of the anime "UFO Robo Grendizer," which aired from 1975 to 1977. The series is directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, known for "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" and "Future GPX Cyber Formula." The character designs are by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, renowned for his work on "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Summer Wars." The music is composed by Kohei Tanaka, famous for "ONE PIECE" and the "Sakura Wars" series. The animation is produced by GAINA.
