Ōgure Ito, known for works such as "Air Gear" and "Bakemonogatari," has started a new manga series titled "Haiten Miko," which was released on May 29 in the 26th issue of Weekly Shōnen Magazine.

"Haiten Miko" is an epic fantasy story that follows a group of boys and girls facing a supernatural disaster called "Night." At the center of the series is Jin, a boy living in a rural Japanese town who meets Gao, a British soldier displaced from his homeland by "Night." Jin and his friends enjoy their youth in a peaceful, nature-rich environment. However, their tranquility is abruptly shattered when "Night" strikes again.

The first episode features an 80-page opening chapter with color pages. To celebrate the launch of the new series, the issue also includes an exclusive interview with Ōgure Ito, where he shares insights into his inspirations and thoughts on his latest work.
