The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Akihiro Ononaka's manga "Gushing Over Magical Girls" (Mahō Shōjo ni Akogarete) has revealed further details about its premiere. Publisher Kadokawa has presented a new teaser image and confirmed a release date for the anticipated series in 2024.

The image showcases the thematic elements the manga series is known for and gives viewers a taste of what to expect from the anime. It depicts the transformation of the main character, Hiiragi Utena, from an average middle school girl fascinated by magical girls into an unexpected villainess in the magical realm.

The manga series was first published by Ononaka in 2019, initially in Takeshobo's Manga Life Storia magazine. After the magazine's discontinuation, the series found a new home on the Storia Dash website.
