Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo first promo video, starting in October 2021

On the official website for the Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo anime, the main cast members, a first promotional video, a teaser image, and an October 2021 premiere were announced.

Seiichirou Yamashita will play the role of Hosomichi Kudo, while Ai Fairouz will appear as Rin Akagi. Aina Suzuki will lend her voice to Yuki Aoba, while Shiori Izawa will play the role of Misa Kuroki. Masaomi Andō (Kanata no Astra) will direct the series, while Makoto Uezu (Kuutei Dragons) will be in charge of the script/series composition. Akio Watanabe (Grisaia no Kajitsu) and Keiko Kurosawa (Asobi Asobase) will provide the character designs.



The anime is described on the official website as follows:

Japan, 2019, just before the dawn of a new era. Suddenly, a rift to another dimension appears in the sky, revealing an alternate world, "Shinkoku Nippon," where the sky and earth are inverted. This parallel world retains its former militarism, with the era being "Eternal Showa." The military invades real Japan with giant humanoid robots called "Garann" and their gas weapons "Genmu," which render our modern weapons ineffective. "Shinkoku Nippon" immediately takes over the government and effectively conquers Japan. The new era, "Reiwa," has not yet begun for Japan.
