Meanwhile, Adonis is still furious and ponders how to bring Chloe back to life. He is confronted by Director Yamato and Deputy Director Yuki from the National Security Bureau (NSB). Yuki intends to activate a magical photon suppression device, but Director Theta of the National Science Agency intervenes. Theta reveals that the device emits particles capable of disrupting human cellular functions—a disease that afflicted the soldiers of the witch hunt ten years ago.

Despite the warning, Yuki is determined to activate the device, as it is of national importance. However, the device fails to activate, and Adonis continues his rampage. Yamato orders his troops to collect the corpse of Adonis, whom they believe to be dead.

At a school, students discuss recent events and the national mock exams. A girl named Eri is torn between her feelings about the events and the people around her. She meets a government official named Oz, who warns her against publishing photos of the incident.

At the end of the episode, a shocking revelation is made by Chief Investigator Charmy of the National Intelligence Agency. She informs Chief Oz that the corpse believed to be the witch apprentice Adonis is actually a fake.
