The first promotional video for the announced anime adaptation of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" has been released. It contains information about the cast, production team, and broadcast start date.

The video was presented on November 8 at the "Animate Girls Festival 2025" event, where members of the voice cast were also present. It includes the opening theme title "Adorena" and the ending theme title "BABY", both performed by the duo YOASOBI.

As a further cast member, it was announced that Satoshi Hino will take on the role of Mingori Kagurazaka.

On December 27, the first two episodes will be screened in advance at the United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo. Following that, a talk session with the voice actors will take place. Participants include Aya Yamane as Mizuki Ashya, Taku Yashiro as Izumi Sano, Kikunosuke Toya as Shuichi Nakatsu, Yuichiro Umehara as Nanami Nanba, and Jun Fukuyama as Hokuto Umeda. Ticket advance sales start on November 26.

Additionally, further voice actors, including Umehara, Fukuyama, and Hino, have commented on the series. They described their reactions to the casting and their motivation for portraying their respective roles.

The plot of the series revolves around Mizuki Ashya, a girl who hides her gender and enrolls at a boys' school to be close to her idol Izumi Sano. The original manga was serialized from 1996 to 2004 in the magazine Hana to Yume. The story was already adapted into a live-action series in Japan in 2007 and 2011 and has also been adapted internationally.
