Lead cast and crew of fantasy anime "Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai" revealed

The fantasy anime Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai ("The Crow Doesn't Choose Its Master"), which will premiere in April on NHK, has revealed its key visual, a first promotional video, as well as its main cast and staff. The series is based on the fantasy novel series "Yatagarasu" by Tomori Abe and is set in an alternate world inhabited by the Yatagarasu clan. It tells the story of Yukiya, a boy from the Yatagarasu clan who becomes the servant of the beautiful and eccentric Wakamiya, navigates the intrigues of the court, and forms a strange bond of loyalty with Wakamiya.

The key visual features Yukiya, Wakamiya, and four radiant princesses vying for the position of Wakamiya's queen, setting the stage for a tale full of intrigue and camaraderie. The main cast includes Mutsumi Tamura as Yukiya and Miyu Irino as Wakamiya, with Yoshiaki Kyogoku directing. The creative team also includes Yukiko Yamamuro for series composition, Takumo Norita for character design, Hidefumi Sasegawa for music, and Studio Pierrot for animation production.

Additionally, comments from original author Tomori Abe, actors Mutsumi Tamura and Miyu Irino, and director Yoshiaki Kyogoku have been released, expressing their excitement for the anime.
