In a school scene, we see Touka's class on a bus trip for a school excursion. The class representative, Sogou Ayaka, is teased by Oyamada, leading to tense interactions among the students. The class dynamics are revealed, with most students displaying indifference and some exhibiting elitist behavior. An exception are the Takao sisters, who remain calm amidst the chaos.

Suddenly, the scene shifts dramatically as the students find themselves in a mysterious stone chamber. They are greeted by the goddess Vicius, who informs them that they have been summoned to the world of Alion to fight against the resurrected Great Demon Empire. The goddess explains that they possess unique powers that were not visible in their world and that they must now help defeat the impending evil to return home.

The students are individually evaluated, and their unique abilities and ranks are revealed. Kirihara Takuto is identified as the S-class hero, causing a stir among his classmates. Sogou Ayaka is also praised for her high rank, while Touka is dismissed as the E-class hero, the lowest rank, and largely ignored.

Despite the harsh treatment, Touka's latent potential is hinted at when the evaluation crystal shatters during his assessment. Nevertheless, he is mocked by the goddess Vicius and the other students, leading to a ritual that sends him to the dangerous Ruins of Annihilation. This ritual is intended for the weakest heroes, giving them a slim chance of survival as a test of their worth.

In the ruins, Touka is immediately confronted by hostile creatures. Despite initial overwhelm and fear, he discovers that his unique ability to "induce status changes" is unexpectedly effective. He successfully uses it against a minotaur and other threats, realizing that his abilities might be more powerful than he initially thought.

Frustrated and determined, Touka resolves to survive and prove his worth. The episode ends with him preparing for a fierce battle, determined to overcome the trials of the ruins and take revenge on those who humiliated him.
