The character Asura, known for her alien-like appearance and her suicide, steps into the spotlight. She possesses powers far more unique than those of the other children and has helped Kona master his own abilities.

Elsewhere, Maru and his group plan to visit a town recommended by Usami. However, an unexpected earthquake interrupts their journey, causing the collapse of a partially destroyed building nearby. This event presents them with an opportunity to scavenge and a chance to encounter other hunters who might lead them to their desired destination.

During this scavenging, Maru meets another scavenger named Juichi. At first, Juichi mistakes them for bandits but then shares his experiences. He recalls his time at a "walled school," where he was one of the few men allowed to live, describing his existence as a "breeding stock." He also theorizes about the cause of the catastrophe, speculating that it might have been an asteroid, aliens, or a war.

Further into the episode, a bird logo linked to the Takahara Academy is discovered. This academy appears to function both as a tutoring school and an orphanage, oddly referring to the world as a "hell of patience."

Back at the walled school, a significant twist unfolds: Toshio becomes pregnant. The director and others react with shock and concern, as they have never educated the children about sex or the differences between men and women.
