The episode begins with Helck, Anne, and Piwi trying to buy a map in a bustling city that could lead them to the empire. They realize they don’t have the local currency, Lin, to purchase the map, which costs 50,000 Lin. They decide to participate in a cooking competition with a grand prize of 30,000 Lin to earn the money they need.

The competition is fierce, featuring renowned chefs like Ajikaba the Competition Sweeper, Moonmi the Mild Flavor, and Touga the Spicy Sauce. The head judge is Master Ryo Ridon, a heavyweight in the culinary world. The theme of the competition is stews, and the chefs have one hour to prepare their dishes.

While the other chefs showcase their signature techniques, Helck and Anne initially appear frozen. However, it turns out Helck is moving so fast that he becomes a blur. He prepares a dish that not only impresses the judges but also leaves the other chefs in awe. Master Ryo Ridon struggles to find words to describe Helck’s dish but ultimately declares it "ultra delicious" and awards it 120 points, making him the winner.

Ajikaba, who comes in second place, is so impressed by Helck that he gifts him his precious recipe book and vows to surpass him one day. With the prize money and some additional funds from selling crystals they received from Princess Erille, Helck, Anne, and Piwi are able to buy the map.

As they set off northwest, the map seller warns them to avoid the abandoned area of two destroyed kingdoms, as a "Warrior of Darkness" is said to roam there. Despite the warning, Helck, Anne, and Piwi decide to continue their journey.

The episode ends with a preview of the next installment, titled "The Troubadour’s Song."
