At the beginning of the episode, the demon forces led by Lord Azudra take center stage as they defend their castles against the human army. Despite the humans' ability to revive endlessly, the demons manage to keep them at bay, partly thanks to the warriors who participated in the Tournament of the New Demon Lords. However, Azudra is concerned about the rapidly increasing combat strength of the human army and its leaders.

Azudra is also seen using a tracking spell to locate Lady Vermilio, who is traveling with Helck and Anne. The tracking spell shows that she is making progress, lifting Azudra's spirits.

The scene then shifts to Helck, Anne, and Piwi traveling through a desert. Anne expresses unease about Helck's immense power, especially after witnessing him lose control once. Helck offers Anne a broken sword once known as the "Hero Slayer" and asks her to keep it, hinting that she should use it against him if he ever becomes a threat. Anne refuses, stating that she trusts Helck and does not see him as an enemy.

Helck then decides to tell Anne about his past and the power of heroes, asking her to reconsider keeping the sword after hearing his story.

The episode ends with a teaser for the next installment titled "With the Younger Brother in Tow," hinting that the trio's journey through the desert will continue.
