The episode begins with Helck and his younger brother Cless, who became orphans after their parents were killed by monsters. Cless sets out to hunt monsters, and soon after, Helck is drafted into a monster-hunting squad due to the increasing monster attacks.

During a mission, Helck encounters a lifeform from the New World, a unique and terrifying monster. Despite the risk, he fights the creature to allow his comrades to escape. Helck manages to defeat the monster and catches the attention of Edil, the son of a baron. Helck agrees to accompany Edil to his city, which is under attack by monsters.

There, they meet Alicia, the leader of a mercenary group. Together, they succeed in repelling the monsters. Impressed by Helck's abilities, Alicia offers him a position in her group, which he accepts. Helck becomes a key figure in the fight against the monsters.

Meanwhile, Cless is chosen to lead an expedition to defeat the Demon Lord, who is believed to be the source of all monsters. Helck focuses on his own mission and trusts in his brother's abilities. Then, news arrives that Cless was successful but severely injured. Helck visits him and vows to find a cure.

Despite Cless' victory, the monster attacks continue, leading to public unrest. Frustrated, Helck decides to take matters into his own hands and sets out to defeat the Demon Lord himself. The episode ends with Helck departing, leaving behind his mercenary comrades and his wounded brother, determined to put an end to the monster attacks.
