The episode begins with Zeruzeon, a commander of the heavy infantry, asking Helck for help. Zeruzeon reveals that the kingdom's "Awakening" technique, which grants immense power, also erases individuality and turns people into mindless puppets. This plan is led by the Great Sage Mikaros and supported by the kingdom's elite, including the king and Lord Raphaed.

Zeruzeon explains that the awakening process is to be carried out on a large scale and will affect all people except the nobility. He also mentions that he is supposed to play a role in this plan but is opposed to it. Helck, Alicia, and Edil agree to help Zeruzeon and decide to rescue Cless, the hero, who is the key to the awakening process.

To distract the guards, Zeruzeon stages a rebellion outside the castle. Helck and his friends infiltrate the castle and fight their way through numerous guards. They finally reach Cless's chamber but are confronted by Mikaros and the king. The king attempts to manipulate them into submission, but Helck's strong will allows him to resist. Alicia reveals a powerful blade known as the "Hero Slayer," which she uses to incapacitate Cless.

Mikaros is shocked by the blade's power but remains undeterred. Helck and his friends manage to escape with Cless and vow to put an end to the kingdom's wicked plans. The episode concludes with a preview titled "Traitor."
