The second season of the fantasy anime series "Hell Mode ~Yarikomi Suki no Gamer wa Hai Settei no Isekai de Musou Suru~" is taking further shape. After the continuation was already announced for July 2026 in March and Takahiro Sakurai was confirmed as the voice of the hero Helmios, the next major cast expansion has now followed: Four new main characters and their voice actors have been officially introduced.

The golden-haired Keel, a young priest obsessed with money, is voiced by Reiji Kawashima. Kawashima describes the series as a "transformation of an impossible game into a masterpiece" and praises the satisfying dynamic when Allen's meticulously planned tactics come together. He sees Keel as a very human character whose familial motivation and groundedness bring new warmth to the group.

The over-thousand-year-old high elf princess Sophialohne from Rosenheim is portrayed by Kiyono Yasuno. She is enthusiastic about Allen and his monsters' steady growth and emphasizes that Sophialohne comes to the academy as a transfer student with a special destiny. Her calm but determined nature is reflected in the game.

Her bodyguard, the silent archer Volmaar, is voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa. The experienced voice actor and self-proclaimed game fan is delighted by the many RPG elements and jokes that the difficulty level "Hell Mode" is truly devilish. Due to his own archery experience from his school days, he feels particularly connected to the role.

The young dwarf Meruru, an extremely rare "magic knight" who can command powerful golems, is voiced by Miyu Tomita. She emphasizes the fast-paced storytelling and the unusual fact that the protagonist is not overpowered from the start. Meruru is like a little sister to the group, but her inner conflicts are also explored.

The continuation starts in July 2026 on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS Nippon Television. The story leads Allen and his companions to the academy city of Latash, where they make new friends, form a party, and explore dungeons. Direction is once again by Makoto Tamagawa, with the script by Daishiro Tanimura. Animation is produced at Yokohama Animation Lab.

A first teaser visual was already released in March, showing Allen and Helmios in a sword fight. The official website also features updated character designs for characters known from Season 1, such as Allen, Krena, Dogora, Cecil, and others.

The light novel source material by author Hamuo (illustrations: Mo) is published under the Earth Star Novel label and is distributed in German, among others, by J-Novel Club as an e-book. The manga adaptation by Enji Tetta runs in Comic Earth Star. With the now fully revealed second season, anticipation for the next chapter of hardcore gamer Allen is likely to continue to rise.
