For the anime adaptation of the cult manga "Hell Teacher Nūbē" (original title: 地獄先生ぬ~べ~) by Shō Takara and Takeshi Okano, the first film sequences as well as key plot details have now been released. The focus of the previewed title video is on the students of Dōmori Elementary School, who are seen in everyday school scenes – with eerie paranormal creatures mingling among them. The protagonist Nūbē also appears with his activated supernatural abilities. The visual design skillfully combines school life with dark, mysterious elements. The atmosphere is underscored by the song "P0WER – Evil Spirit Dispersion" by JIGG-ZAGG.
The one-hour introductory episode titled "The Centipede with Ninety-Nine Legs" shows Nūbē's first day as a new teacher at the elementary school. The focus is on the student Hiro, whose noticeable behavioral changes are eventually traced back to a demonic presence. Scene images illustrate how Nūbē uses his special left hand to fend off the threat and protect his students.
The series concept combines classic school themes with supernatural conflicts: Nūbē uses his unique powers to protect the children from demonic forces. The production is being handled by the renowned studio Pierrot and is based on the manga template, which was published by Shueisha between 1993 and 1999. The anime special will premiere on July 2.
