Hell Teacher Nube: Anime comeback announced for summer 2025

The anime adaptation of Hell Teacher Nube (Jigoku Sensei Nube), based on the original work by Sho Makura and Takeshi Okano, is returning in summer 2025. The long-awaited revival will air on TV Asahi. Ryotaro Okiayu, who previously voiced the protagonist in the original 1996-1997 series, will once again take on the role of Meisuke Nueno, also known as Nube.

A second teaser visual has been released, showing Nube with a determined expression and his iconic "Demon Hand." Alongside this, a video has been published introducing the new cast while also highlighting Nube's dramatic moments—including the symbolic scene where the sealed power of his Demon Hand is unleashed.

Hell Teacher Nube tells the story of Meisuke Nueno, a warm-hearted and humorous elementary school teacher who possesses supernatural abilities thanks to his "Demon Hand." With these powers, Nube protects his students from various supernatural threats such as ghosts and yokai.

The animation is produced by Studio KAI.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, Hell Teacher Nube captivated readers with a mix of horror, humor, and heroism. The first anime adaptation, which aired from 1996 to 1997, is considered a classic.
